No time, no crafts

Hey ghouls! It's been ages since I last posted, but I have no time since I've started a new job and my studies again. I felt so sad about having this blog so abandoned that I've decided to make a small post telling you what I've been up to.

 First of all, back in september I bought two new ghouls from another doll collector that I found at Doll Observers. This ghouls were signature Nefera and Toralei. Buying from another collector is a good option if you want a doll that is hard to find, but always make sure that is a safe purchase. It's also a good idea to ask the other person to send you a picture of the receipt from the post office. Here are some pics of the ghouls:

I also got Ghouls Night Out Lagoona, Mr. Monster bought her for my birthday. Check her with some of the ghouls in Scaris

 

Then I took advantage of an offer at Toys'r'us and bought I love fashion Scarah and some accesories for my ghouls. I wanted Scarah because she's diferent from other ghouls, you know, without pupils and with that 60's inspired style.

At Christmas I bought Twyla as a present for myself, but unfortunately, her hair is an awfull mess. She's got little pieces of glue on her scalp, so I can't give her a boil perm. I seriously considered writting to Mattel complaining about the quality of some of their dolls, but in the end I didn't do it. I also got Caterine de Mew as a Christmas present from Mr. Monster.     Beautiful dolls! You should definitely write to Mattel, I wrote once, I bought a couple of Monster High dolls, and there was so much glue in their hair, plus the body parts were so loose, they sent me gift certificates to buy a couple more dolls.

      Hello there! I just wrote to Mattel to complain about a doll whose arm doesn't bend, but I should have mentioned that also.

Hi again, doll lovers! How is your summer going so far? Jeez, this summer is keeping me busy. Our house makeover is finally taking off. The return of Monster High

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I want to do something that I don't do that often and that it's write an opinionated post. I don't typically talk about doll news or comment on dolls I don't own yet, but from time to time I like to do something different. Please, keep in mind that is my own personal opinion, which is subjective. Also, my criticism is meant to be constructive, and not meant to disrespect the designers involved or their work. If anything, my main critiques are directed to Mattel as a whole. I will also try to break this post into sections, for easy reading. Doll review: Barbie Looks model 2 (curvy)

Hello and welcome to the first doll review of 2022. I haven't done a doll review in over a year, when I reviewed the BMR redhead guy , back in February 2021, so it was really about time. I used to do reviews back to back, but now I very rarely do so, due to the fact that I barely buy any dolls. This is due to the fact that I don't have much money to spend on dolls anymore, but also there hasn't been anything in the market that has really caught my eye recently. However, a few months back, Mattel put out this Barbie Looks line, and this particular doll was a standout for me.  For those of you who aren't really into Barbie dolls, the Looks line is a collectors line consisting of 6 dolls that launched in summer 2021 (see them here ). The line seems to pay homage to the Barbie Basics line from 2009, but with the addition of the made to move body and new face sculpts. Later that year, 3 new dolls have cme out.
