Saturday fun finds

Hello everyone!

Today Mr. Monster and I spent the morning in a city close to where we live that's bigger and has more offer in shops. We've gone mainly to do some doll hunting but, despite finding Batgirl for 6€ less than the usual price, we haven't found any interesting dolls. However, we've gone to a store called Flying Tiger and I've found some interesting things in 1:6 scale. You can try the store locator to see if there's a shop close to your area.

I discovered this shop thanks to another spanish doll collector. I asked where she got a chair I saw on one of her photos and she told me about this stores. So I searched for the closest store and it was just 30 minute drive from my hometown.

Let's start with the chairs I just mentioned below. They're avaliable in several colors, such as pastel pink, teal, black and light red. I belive there was a white at some point, but it wasn't avaliable in that store.

They work just perfect for Barbie size dolls.

I also found this cute little supermarket trolley. It's a little bit too small for a Barbie.

However, it works much better with Monster High little sister dolls.

I've also find this doll size trash bin with wheels. It's supposed to be a pen holder, but it looks quite realistic. Again, it's a little bit short for the doll, but it will look just fine on a diorama.

I've also found this wooden bowl. It's too big for the dolls to pretend they're eating or use as a cooking prop, but it would be great for decoration.

And finally, I found this little cute desk lamp. It was avaliable also in blue, but black looked more realistic.

And the best thing, is that it has real light.

So what do you guys think of the finds? Have you find something interesting in doll size?

M.C.

PD. I won't be able to post much from now to January, but remeber you can still contact me on other social networks.

  1. Love, Love, Love those chairs! You've found some cool things. You could turn that bowl into an above level sink for the doll.

    1. Hello Muff! That's a fantastic idea! I got it mostly to be like a center piece decoration for the table, but your idea is more creative.

    1. Hello Farrah Lily! The pastel chairs are really cute, I got two of the teal color, one pink and one black. Maybe when the semester is over I could do a giveaway of a set of those chairs, if they're still avaliable.

    1. Hello Aya! The chairs are great, it's not easy to craft doll chairs! Also, the lamp looks quite realistic, but I wish it was avaliable in more colors.

  4. I like the wooden bowl. Maybe you could fill it with fabric scraps or a bunched up sock and turn it into a fancy ottoman? The other items I've seen countless times in a forum topic called "non-doll things that are perfect for my dolls". You can find most of them on aliexpress, although I'm not sure if you can buy just one piece or choose the colour.

    1. Hello BlackKitty! I've seen the trash bin on Alliexpress, but the one I got was cheaper. I haven't found the chairs or the mini lamp, however I have found other chairs that look quite interesting. I've never bought from Alliexpress, and I'm not really sure either if you can choose the color.

  5. Oh, I really love those chairs! I have some of those shopping carts and trash bins that I got from Amazon office supplies. I agree with you on the shopping carts, but they are realistic enough to use in dios. I also have several of those little desk lamps that I got from our local Dollar store. Those are great! I really like some of the suggestions you have received for the wooden bowl. I would also make a good planter for a floor plant, so I think it was a great buy!

    1. Hello Phyllis! I've seen some mini lamps on Amazon, but they cost 3 times more than the one I got. I've also came across some Barbie size chairs aswell, not as the ones I got, but some are really nice. Now I'm spending some time on Amazon looking at some office supplies that work for dolls.

I've also thought of the floor plant, but Muff's idea is very good aswell. I should give it a thought.
