Making Groovy Artwork
Today's post is yet another compilation of my latest YouTube videos. Recently I have been diving into fun and colorful artwork with somewhat of a "groovy feel". I've discovered a bunch of this type of artwork on Pinterest, and I'm so drawn to it because it looks so fun and vibrant, especially for dolls. And lately, I just want to have fun.
The first artwork that I made was this Groovy Flower. I've been seeing this type of art everywhere lately, in all shapes and color combinations. I decided to go with a fuchsia and a bright orange, which feel like a very groovy color combo.
At first, when I started drawing it, I was concerned it wouldn't work out in such a small scale, and that all the petals wouldn't fit, but I was pleasantly surprised with the result.
The second one is this sunset scene in pink and yellow. I saw something very similar on Pinterest, but with different colors. However, I decided to go with the same pink I used for the flower so they would look better together, almost as if they belonged to the same collection.
At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but it has grown on me, and now I think it looks so fun. Maybe I should play around with the idea of a sun or a sunset for future artwork projects. Let me know what you think.
With these two videos, I've reached my goal of uploading 15 long format videos on my channel. The other goal I had was to upload 12 long format videos in 2025, and so far I've uploaded 9, so we're on track. I have already filmed my 10th video, which I haven't started editing, and am currently working on the 11th. I have no idea what to do for my 12th video, but since it would probably be uploaded around December, maybe I should try to do something Christmas-themed. What do you think?
To be completely honest, things haven't been going so great in my personal life. A couple of weeks ago, my father-in-law passed away quite unexpectedly. It's been very hard, and it has also come with a new set of challenges and things that need to be taken care of pretty urgently. Leaving the pain aside, there are a lot of things Mr. Monster and his family have to deal with. Those of you who have lost a parent probably know the bureaucracy and paperwork that come with it. We're doing a bit better now, trying to go back to normal as much as possible, and taking things as they come (because what else are we supposed to do').
The other bad thing that happened is that my computer has crashed again and won't even start. We'll see if it can be repaired, but so far it's pretty much dead. Luckily, Mr. Monster bought a very cheap laptop I can use for now. Editing videos is not a problem since I use Canva, but right now I don't have a photo editor. Canva has a photo editor that isn't as complete as Gimp or others, but it will have to do for now.
That's pretty much all I have to share today. I hope you're all doing well. The blogosphere seems to be very quiet these days, so I hope everyone is OK, just busy with other things.
Definitely let me know what you think, as well if you have ideas for future videos. My German classes start in a couple of weeks, which I'm not looking forward to and for sure will keep me busier during the school year.
See you as soon as possible.
