Doll Review: DC Super Hero Girls Wonder Woman

Remember when I said that I wasn't going to collect DC Super Hero Girls dolls? That I was only going to get a couple of them? Well, considering that this is my fourth DC Super Hero Girls doll, and that I'm dying to get my hands on the upcoming Katana doll, I'd say that I pretty much collect DC Super Hero Girls. So, today it's time to review my last Hero Girl, Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is an amazonian princess and the first of her kind to join Super Hero High. On the comic books and other media, she uses the alias Diana Prince to hide her true identity. She is very strong, athletic and her weapon is the lasso of truth.

I love the Super Hero Girls boxes!

On the back of the box we can see the artwork, which is cute, but not my favourite.

And finally, she's out of the box.

I'm not really sure if all the DC Super Hero Girls use the same mold, but if they're different the differences are very subtle. Wonder Woman has dark blue eyes, fair skin and red lips.

She has jet black hair with some blue highlights that comes in quite good condition.

She also wears her signature gold headband with a red star. The headband goes all around her head and is attached with one of those horrible plastic things.

She wears a shoulder piece with a "W" shape on the chest part. It's nice, but it limits the rotation of the shoulders.

She also wears a red t-shirt  with a stars pattern on it and white sleeves. It's quite simple, but sure what you'd wear to save the day.

The t-shirt is combined with this ligh blue leggins with a star stripe on the side.

She wears red boots with wing details on the outer part. Her shoes don't look bad in the outfit, but looking at them separate they look like rain boots.

She also wears a gold belt that helps her hold her lasso of truth.

On her arms, she wears siver armbands that give her a warrior look.

Her hands are shaped in a way she can hold her lasso of truth. Since this are action dolls, it's great, because it looks like the doll is in action, but if you want to take more glamour shots of her, they can be a problem.

I love the DC Super Hero Girls and I love Wonder Woman. I like the re-design of this and other characters for this line, even though I already liked some super heroes the way they were.  I'm surprised about the general good quality of this doll line, considering that this are manufactured by Mattel, but all the ones that I have feel really sturdy and their hair come in great condition.

I want to get some more of this DC Super Hero Girls. For now, on my wishlist I have Katana and Frost, and probably Starfire and Wonder Woman of Themyscira. I'm not totally sold on Super Girl or Harley Quinn, but I'd probably get them if I find a good deal.  Also I hope to see a doll version of Hawkgirl soon, but my money is on her being the next SDCC exclusive.

So what do you guys think of Wonder Woman? Do you have any of these in your collection?

  1. I have Wonder Woman, too! I love her and she is my favorite. I also have Super Girl Starfire and Poison Ivy. The new ones that are coming out look pretty cool and I can't wait to get them as well! I haven't decided if I want to get Bumble Bee or Batgirl yet, but most likely, I won't be getting Harley Quinn as I don't like the molded on pants. This is a very cute line! Nice review. :)

    1. I prefer Bumblebee to Batgirl, but I can't resist to redheads so I ended up having both. Harley Quinn is my least favourite aswell and I also think that the painted leggins were a mistake. Thanks, I'm glad you liked my review.

  3. LOL at this comment: "I'm surprised about the general good quality of this doll line, considering that this are manufactured by Mattel"

I don't have any of these yet but I have seen them in my stores. I really like their thick body types. They do seem super sturdy.

    1. I have four of them and none has greasy hair or bald spots! Can you belive it? Their bodies are quite sturdy, and since their feet are big, they can stand on their own quite easily.
