Hi everyone! Just a quick post to let you know the names that I've finally chosen for my Barbie dolls. Thanks to everyone who helped in my "Name that doll" post or my doll reviews with suggestions. Here are the final names, in alphabetical order:

I hope that I can write a new post soon, but we're having Internet connection problems and I don't know if I'll be able. In fact, uploading the photos for this post has cost me over half an hour!     Beautiful new names! I love naming my dolls..it really makes them more "alive." My favorite of your dolls listed is "Blake"..I need to get her!! :)

    Three cheers for newly named dolls! All of the names you chose are a great fit. Your Blake doll reminds me of Blake Lively, and I'm especially fond of the name Priya. I tried to give that name to one of my dolls last summer, but it didn't stick. She ended up being a Yasmin.

      Hi Jewell! Yes, she reminds me of her aswell, so that's why I liked that name. I don't know many indian names, so Priya was one of very few options. Thanks for your name suggestions, they were really helpful

Hi again! It's just taken me over a month to write a new post. I've been keeping myself busy: I'm doing an online marketing course, Mr. Monster and I are trying to do some sport, so I can't quite find time in my spare time for blogging. Retro Review: Barbie Travelin' House playset (1995)

Hi again, doll lovers! How is your summer going so far? Jeez, this summer is keeping me busy. Our house makeover is finally taking off. We've been busy meeting with the contractor and choosing the materials. At first I was quite frustrated because I didn't see any progress, but now I finally see it moving, slowly but steady. Also, both Mr. Monster and I got sick a couple of weeks ago, which didn't leave with much time left to play with dolls. Anyway, I'm finally here with a new blog post. A while back Barb posted on her blog about a doll she had as child. On that post, I told her about this playset and I thought it would be interesting to show it to you guys. The return of Monster High

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I want to do something that I don't do that often and that it's write an opinionated post. I don't typically talk about doll news or comment on dolls I don't own yet, but from time to time I like to do something different. Please, keep in mind that is my own personal opinion, which is subjective. Also, my criticism is meant to be constructive, and not meant to disrespect the designers involved or their work. If anything, my main critiques are directed to Mattel as a whole. I will also try to break this post into sections, for easy reading.
