Photo compilation: September 2023-February 2024

Well hello again! It's been a couple of months since my last post. As you probably know, because I've been repeating it ad nausea m, I've been very busy these past months with both school and the internship I'm doing. Luckily, classes are finally over, and I'm just busy with the internship, the "end of studies" project and preparing for my German A2 level exam. Sounds fun, right? Usually, I do these photo compilations every other month with all the photos I've shared on Instagram during that time. But since September, I've barely posted anything, and most of the photos I've shared I took during my holiday trip to Vielha . I simply couldn't bring myself to make time to take photos. So basically, this post is going to be photos of Chloe and Victoria. I've also not been enjoying Instagram much lately. I just don't feel inspired to take photos for that platform, and most of the time, when I post it's just for the sake of it.  Artig...

Photo compilation: July-August 2023

And, before you know it, it's already September.  I'm so glad that summer and the unbearable heat are going away, and it's finally time for fall, my favorite season. To kick-start the month, let's do a Photo compilation of the photos I've been sharing on Instagram these past two months.  Let's start with two photos that I took during our trip to Vielha, but didn't include in the post. First, this photo of Chloe during our excursion to the Uelhs deth Joèu and Artiga de Lin. I took it at one of the very first spots we found, and I love the result.  Also, this photo of Victoria that I took in the Carlac forest.  Most of the photos I shared these past two months I have already shared on the blog, but I have a couple of "extras" that didn't make the final post. I took this back when I wrote the Room in a bookcase post but didn't include it in the final post, so I edited it for Instagram.  Similarly, I had photos from the "limewash effe...

Photo compilation: May-June 2023

Hello again! Can you believe it's July already? Where does time go? I have done nothing of what I had planned for before July! Like every other month, it's time for another Photo compilation , the series where I share all the photos I've posted on Instagram, and tell you a little backstory about them, and even sometimes share some behind the scenes photos (once in a blue moon, actually).  Let's start with my favorite photos. I took these photos back in April, during the Easter break, in a nearby town.  Last time we visited this town, I mentioned how cool it would be to take photos there, so on a day off we had, we went back with dolls. It's a residential area that is far less busy than downtown, and it has some parks in between the houses. The parks aren't very nice, but I still managed to take this photo of Chloe, which is my favorite.  I like the result of outdoor photos, especially when it looks like the doll is out there in the real world, but they can be a ...

Photo compilation: March-April 2023

Hello again! Welcome to my 7th post this year and 200th post overall. Today, as every other month, we're doing another Photo compilation, where I share all the photos I've taken for Instagram but haven't been published on the blog before. Today's post comes out a bit later than usual, as I've been quite busy with school, but I've also had some family events to attend that have taken up most of my spare time. Let's start this compilation with a photo that I took back in February, but didn't share on my last photo compilation . If you read that one, you know I took this photo at a lovely little nook I found by the beach. I posted this one in March, but I usually share all the photos of the same "batch" together, even if one of them was published in a different month. However, for some reason I forgot to include this one. Remember my last doll review ? Well, thinking that that doll had a petite body, I wanted to take photos with her and the vitili...

Photo compilation: January-February 2023

Hello dolly-friends and welcome back to another Photo compilation , the series where I share all the photos that I shared on Instagram and other social media during the previous two months. For some reason, it's March already, which means time to share the photos from January and February.  As some of you know, my ring light broke, and I had to repair it, and also in January I got sick and had to do a lot of catching up with school. Because of all of this, I didn't publish any new photos during January. In fact, most of them are from the same photoshoot, and I've just been spreading them through the month of February.  Back in early February, I had quite a relaxed week at school, so one Saturday I asked Mr. Monster if we could go somewhere to take some outdoors photos. We didn't have any clue on where to go, so we decided to try to go to this beach area that has lots of rocks, since we thought it would be quiet. We know the area, but we aren't super familiar with it...

Photo compilation: November-December 2022 (plus 2022 recap)

Hello again dolly-friends! Happy 2023! How is the new year treating you so far? 2022 is officially over, so now it's time to reflect on it and take a look to the photos I published the last two months. Towards the end of the year, I didn't take many photos due to a combination of lack of inspiration and lack of time. However, there was one thing that I had wanted to try for a while, and it was to take photos using some lights in the background that would give a nighttime effect. So, once I had my Christmas tree up with just the lights, I gave it a go. This photo of Lea I took it as an experiment, and it came up better than I expected. Of course, I tried to recreate the same effect with other dolls, but I wasn't as happy with the result as I was with Lea's pic, but I still managed to get a couple that I deemed decent enough to post. It is actually a bit of a hard technique, but I would love to keep experimenting with this. To get light on the dolls' faces, I used one...

Photo compilation: September-October 2022

This post was first published on themonstercrafts.blogspot.com . If you see it elsewhere, it's been plagiarized without my consent.  Hello again dolly-friends! How is November going so far? I've been quite busy with school, with 3 exams and lots of homework. Luckily, next week is going to be a quiet one, so I thought it would be a great time to do a quick photo compilation.   As you might have guessed, I've barely posted any new photos these past two months. In fact, I've just posted 6 photos on Instagram, and 3 of them I had already taken months ago. But, 6 photos plus a "behind the scenes" shot is still enough for a compilation, so let's go.  Since I was quite busy with school, I didn't have much time for a "seasonal themed" photoshoot (or for any photoshoot). But, a few weeks ago, I bought a very cheap fall wreath and I thought I could take some quick fall themed photos. So, before I hanged the wreath on my door, I took these photos.  Ther...
